3. Free Directory Access

Visitors may browse publicly available professional listings, articles, and directory information without paying membership or access fees.

Visitors may contact listed accounting professionals directly to discuss their requirements.

Any professional engagement, service agreement, payment, or dispute arising from accounting services is between the client and the selected professional.

4. Eligibility for Professional Listings

We may request reasonable verification of professional registration, business information, or other relevant credentials.

5. Paid Listings and Advertising Services

AccountantsVancouver.com may offer paid directory listings, enhanced professional profiles, featured placements, and promotional advertising.

Depending on the selected package, features may include:

Professional designations
Accounting specialties

Featured directory placements

Advertising prices, applicable taxes, subscription periods, and included services will be disclosed before purchase.

Paid or sponsored listings will be clearly identified.

Advertising does not guarantee client inquiries, appointments, professional engagements, or revenue.

6. Automatic Subscription Renewals

Paid listing subscriptions may automatically renew only when the advertiser has expressly authorized recurring billing.

The renewal amount, billing frequency, subscription duration, and cancellation procedure will be disclosed before enrollment.

Unless cancelled before the next renewal date, an authorized recurring subscription will renew for the agreed period.

Any proposed price changes will be communicated in advance, and additional consent will be obtained where legally required.

Advertisers may cancel future renewals at any time without cancellation penalties.

7. Flexible Cancellation Policy

We believe in fair and transparent advertising arrangements.

Participating professionals may request cancellation of their paid listings at any time.

There are no cancellation penalties.

Advertisers may request immediate listing removal or allow the listing to remain active until the end of the current prepaid term.

Cancellation requests will be processed within a reasonable timeframe.

Cancellation of future billing does not automatically reverse charges for services already delivered.

8. Fair Prorated Refund Policy

For standard prepaid directory listing subscriptions, our refund policy is as follows:

Before Publication: A full refund is available when no advertising services have been delivered.

Within Seven Calendar Days of Publication: Advertisers may request a prorated refund for the unused portion of the subscription.

After Seven Calendar Days: Advertisers may request a prorated refund for unused full calendar days remaining in the prepaid advertising period.

Refunds will be calculated according to the unused portion of the agreed subscription term.

Separately priced custom advertising services already completed may be excluded where disclosed in advance and legally permitted.

Approved refunds will normally be processed within 15 calendar days.

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory statutory rights.

9. Accuracy of Professional Information

Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that submitted information is accurate, current, and not misleading.

This includes:

Professional names
Designations and credentials
Firm names
Office addresses
Contact information
Service descriptions
Licensing status
Business websites
Advertising claims

Professionals must promptly notify us of material changes to their registration, licensing, or eligibility to offer advertised services.

We may correct or remove inaccurate information.

10. Professional Standards and Regulatory Compliance

Participating accountants and accounting firms must comply with applicable professional, regulatory, privacy, and advertising requirements.

Where applicable, this includes rules established by the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (CPABC).

Advertisers must not misrepresent their professional designation, registration status, authority to perform public accounting, experience, or qualifications.

Directory advertising does not replace independent professional verification.

11. No Professional Advice

It does not constitute individualized accounting, taxation, auditing, investment, legal, or financial advice.

If a paid listing service is permanently discontinued before the end of its prepaid term, an appropriate refund will be provided for undelivered services.

We do not guarantee the qualifications, availability, performance, or suitability of listed professionals.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential commercial losses arising from ordinary directory use or service interruptions, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

22. Listing Suspension and Removal

We may suspend or remove listings that contain materially inaccurate information, false professional credentials, unlawful advertising, or serious violations of these Terms.

Where reasonably practical, advertisers will be given an opportunity to correct an issue before removal.

Immediate removal may occur where necessary to address significant legal, regulatory, privacy, or security concerns.

Any applicable refund will be determined under these Terms and mandatory law.

23. Fair Dispute Resolution
